Indianapolis has seen a drastic increase in domestic violence since 2020. With the onset of the pandemic, our city saw a 180% increase in domestic violence deaths related to gun violence. By creating the Indy Champions for Domestic Violence Prevention program, we are able to work alongside community partners and advocates to provide much-needed services to victims and survivors escaping violence in our community.
The Indy Champions for Domestic Violence Prevention streamlines help to victims and survivors, bringing all the Marion County agencies together to work with our first responders to understand better the system related to domestic violence and amplify resources in our community for education, prevention, and awareness to serve our city better.
Our work touches a number of advocacy services, including:

Donate to assist those in need fleeing domestic violence!
The Indy Champions for Domestic Violence Prevention is a partnership between the Indy Public Safety Foundation (IPSF) and the Office of Public Health and Safety (OPHS), developed as part of the City’s Violence Reduction Strategy.
